Sunday September 26, 2021

As you may know, September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

What does reconciliation look like to you? How do you begin the process of reconciliation?
One of the most important things we can do is listen.
We will have that opportunity this Sunday as  we welcome Kim Noah from the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre(CAIF).

Kim NoahA word from Kim:
"Koolamalsi! My name is Kim Noah, I am Lunaapeew (Lenape) from Eelūnaapèewii Lahkèewiit (Delaware Nation at Moraviantown) and my clan is turtle. My family consists of 4 children (ages 8 to 22 years old) and my partner who is bear clan from Oneida Nation. My children and I have lived in Windsor since 2009 when we moved here so I could attend St. Clair College for the Accounting program. I have worked at Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre for the past 5 years as the Housing Advocate, working mainly with Indigenous people experiencing homelessness. I enjoy working with our Indigenous Community."

This Sunday's text: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21(NRSV)
